What is Cyboard

This blog is created to showcase the work in progress on Cyboard, a board created for the disabled people.

Brief description of the product

The Cyboard is a special electric scooter designed to free the physically disabled by helping with sitting, standing up as well as moving around.

This scooter features on top of a seven-wheeled board, a comfortable seat complete with below the knee leg support. This is designed in a way that the Cyboard acts like an elegant, mobile, and lightweight “standing bed” used nowadays in rehabilitation centers.

With a touch of a button the chair will go up or down enabling its rider to stand up, sit down, or even transition comfortably from a sitting position on the Cyboard to any regular chair, sofa, or bed without any help.

There are no limits to where the Cyboard riders can go. They will be able to move around freely indoors or outdoors where climbing obstacles like curbs (up to 10cm) will not be a problem.

Not only its design does not overlook factors such as weight, power and technology, instead it is where the innovation truly lies:
  • The entire product’s weight does not exceed 10 Kg so that it can be lifted, or put away easily by anyone even the rider.
  • Its electrical motor functions on electromagnetic coil so that it never inconveniently runs out of power.
  • The Cyboard can be controlled through cellphones (by a raspberry pi), so that riders can command it to come to them, in case the scooter is out of reach.

In brief, the Cyboard is an innovative device designed to give freedom and independence to its riders making their lives easier despite their everyday physical challenges.

The photos above show the basic skeleton of Cyboard, the engine isn't mounted yet, nor the support for the legs, the final product will be made of plastic, but we're using wood for now. This blog is work in progress, a 3d model of the final product will be uploaded soon
